Gay marriage, abortion, and marijuana are only a few of the touchy issues no one wants to get involved. But at the end of the day, the people who should be taking about these issues are the people mentally, physically, and socially involved within. Not law makers or left wing/right wing representatives.
They should mind their own business.
1. Gay Marriage
In a recent chart 17 states have legalized gay marriage. Which is great; however, 33 states have banned it or do not license gay couples to wed.
People who do not support gay marriage argue that gay people should not wed because they can’t have kids, or they can’t have sex, or it’s wrong in the Bible. To which I say, gay people can have kids (adoption, sperm banks etc.), they have sex like anyone else, and the Bible is estimated to be written before Jesus was born http://www.biblica.com/bibles/faq/3/ so just like the Bible your agreement is out-dated.
Abortion is a touchy subject for many, but it’s a subject every women should have a right to do if necessary. In some states abortion is legal and in others it is seen as an act of crime. I am pro choice because God for bid a women or young girl gets raped and gets pregnant. I doubt she would want her child to resemble the person who raped her. Also if she needs emergency surgery because something is wrong with her unborn child or she feels at risk for her own health, then I would agree that abortion is necessary.
Because of Colorado legalizing medical and recreational pot a few weeks back, more states are in the process of legalizing pot also. Which has caused a lot of back-lash. President Obama has said in an interview that he has smoked pot in his past, but he doesn’t believe that pot is more damaging than alcohol. To me seems amazing because no one makes a fuss about alcohol banning alcohol.
Also the Super Bowl a week away now will have the Seattle Sea Hawks vs. Denver Broncos. People have been logging onto social media sites and the trending topic a few days ago was “Stoner Bowl.”
4. Not having children while married
A study conducted in Britain has confirmed that couples who do not have kids are more happier than couples with kids. However, on Cathy Couric’s TV show “Cathy” there were couples who did have children and said that they were very happy with their choice to have children. Couples without children said they were happy also.
5. Racism on social media toward sports
Some people on social media put racist content way too often, what happen to Richard Sherman on Twitter has a lot of people talking. If you don’t know Sherman is a Cornerback for the Seattle Sea Hawks. The team is playing the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl. After the game according to news reports, Sherman tried to shake one of the players on the apposing team. The guy refused and pushed him away. What happened next is in the video everyone is talking about.
It gets worse, people start calling Sherman a “thug” on social media. To which Sherman states “There was a hockey game where they didn’t even play hockey, they just threw the puck aside and started fighting. I saw that, and said, ‘Oh man, I’m the thug? What’s going on here?'” Which is so true because when white people fight in sports (or in general) no one calls them thugs, but if a black man gets upset about something, oh he’s a thug. Also Sherman has a degree from Stanford University.
